I guess it's because you haven't said it yet.. (kind of future form... as seen in "할 일이 많다 (got lots of things to do)" '한' sounds more current (in case of adjective), or even past (as in "한 일이 없다" (got nothing done))

but what if you said 중요할 말이 있어요.....would that work?
